Volunteer work

Volunteers needed!

Hostal Llullu Llama is being run by Katrien, Gladys and our volunteers. Katrien lives in Quito and is in charge of reservations, promotion and part of the administration. Gladys lives next to the hostal and is responsable for the cleaning and preparing wonderful meals! She and David also take care of the animals and the garden. Beside this we almost always have volunteers who help us taking care of our guests and the hostal.

We ask for a minimum stay of 2 months and you need to speak Spanish and English. The work you do is the following:

  • Receive the guests, prepare tea and coffee and make people feel welcome.
  • Give information and hiking descriptions or organize transport for our guests.
  • Help Gladys with preparing food, doing dishes and set the table.
  • Make the bills and receive money.
  • Most of all be a host and make sure everybody is happy and enjoying their stay at our wonderful hostal!

In return you receive food and board for as long as you volunteer with us. Usually work is in the morning from around 07:30 until 09:00 and in the afternoon from when the guests arrive until around 20:30. In the middle you have time to go for hikes, or relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. If you are good at something please let us know because there is always work to do. If you like you can also help teaching at the primary or secondary school in the village.

At the moment we are still looking for people who can help us from the end of February and for the rest of 2012. Contact us for more information!
